Get the CPU, RAM, disk space and bandwidth that you need, hosted, and managed directly by Beacon at our state-of-the-art co-location facility or in the cloud (Azure). Servers for the web, CMS, applications, domain controllers or a database, are our specialties. Includes provisioning, firewall configuration (WAF), and setup of websites, monitoring services, backups and SSL certificates.
Beacon uses state-of-the-art hardware unless otherwise requested by a client. This equipment is housed in a highly available co-location facility monitored and maintained on a 24/7 basis by Lumen (~3 miles from Beacon’s main offices). The Lumen facility utilizes such infrastructure as redundant SONET fiber optic network rings, redundant industrial diesel generators plus full battery backup, an FM2000 fire suppression system, redundant 30-Ton Liebert HVAC systems, and redundant gigabit Internet circuits. This combination of industry standard, high quality equipment and full enterprise level infrastructure gives clients a high level of availability and quality while maintaining extremely competitive value.
Beacon strives to provide the SiteCare services for twenty-four (24) hours a day, seven (7) days a week throughout the contract period. At times, services may be inaccessible or inoperable for various reasons, including (i) equipment malfunctions; (ii) periodic maintenance procedures or repairs which Beacon may undertake from time to time; or (iii) causes beyond the control of Beacon or which are not reasonably foreseeable, including interruption or failure of telecommunication or digital transmission links, hostile network attacks or network congestion or other failures (collectively “Downtime”). Beacon provides forty-eight (48) hour advance notice to its customers in the event of any scheduled Downtime and uses its best efforts to minimize any disruption, inaccessibility, and/or inoperability of services.
With SiteCare, we are committed to having your web site(s) available for http/https access by third parties not less than 99.5% of each calendar month. If in any calendar month, this standard of availability is not met, compensation is provided, with certain restrictions and exclusions.
From time to time, we schedule maintenance to support the services to apply important patches to the operating systems and critical security updates as needed. These are carefully planned and approved by our staff, with the outages typically lasting less than 15 minutes. We notify our customers at least 48 hours in advance. However, we do our best to accommodate our customers when necessary. Of course, in the event of an emergency, Beacon takes the required steps to remedy the situation and while these cannot be anticipated, we provide notifications of emergency maintenance as soon as possible.
We would certainly like to guarantee a minimum response time for all problem resolution, but because of the nature of some problems and resource constraints, it is simply not possible. Consequently, Beacon offers customized levels of support and uses a system (ConnectWise) that ensures that all problems reported to Beacon are tracked, assigned, and resolved as quickly as possible. Each Customer has different requirements in terms of responsiveness to a trouble or service call. Choose from three different service levels that primarily differ in response time and rates during non-business hour: (1) Standard 8-hour response, (2) Silver 4-hour response, (3) Gold 1-hour response.
